Four sisters grow cabbage to profit on two acre plot

A Florida family, the Smith sisters ages 18 and younger, turned a two acre cabbage plot into a local agricultural success. They planted about 18,000 cabbages, kept meticulous market watch, and expect to earn around two thousand four hundred dollars from the crop with a quarter of the harvest yet to be cut and sold. Their bank accounts show early savings totaling about nine thousand sixty dollars, with Pittsburgh commission agents adding several hundred. The venture began when their father entrusted the land for their use and advised them to pursue marketable crops based on price signals.
