National Academy of Sciences met in New York at the American Museum of Natural History. C Herm demonstrated growth of chicken heart tissue in culture outside the body. Dr. Murphy reported cancer work in rats with X ray stimulation. Dr. MacDowell noted experiments on rats from alcoholic parents with no evident mental handicap.
