Gas Cost Probe Delayed by Lack of Canvass Volunteers

The effort to join Cedar Falls in funding an appraisal of the Citizens Gas and Electric Co. plant and a cost investigation is stalled by no workers to canvass for funds. Eickelberg notes public willingness to proceed, but a strong reluctance to work a full day for funding persists. An unrelated note records a department's swift relief of a dog’s owner.
