County Increases Snow Fence Award For Roads
The Black Hawk county board awarded ay Wheeler Lumber Co of Des Moines the contract to furnish additional snow fencing for primary roads at 8.12 cents per foot. Presbyterians to Provide Pensions for 3,000 Ministers
Philadelphia November 17 AP Pensions for over 3,000 Presbyterian ministers under the board of national missions will be provided per a board decision announced at the general assembly. The plan, tied to a national Presbyterian laymen’s committee led by Will Hays, includes the board contributing seven and a half percent of ministers’ annual salaries into the pension fund.
