Rothstein murder probe links drug ring in Tenderloin
New York police push to solve the Arnold Rothstein killing as investigators probe a possible link between his illicit gambling network and narcotics sales. US Attorney Charles H. Tuttle opens a broader Rothstein case after Sidney Stater’s opium arrest, while Col. L G Nutt's name surfaces in the inquiry. Federal and municipal investigators seek papers from Rothstein’s safe deposit box that could reveal drug syndicate connections. Mayor Walker orders four days to catch the killer, or face new action.
