Low Bidder Named for Short Sewers Project
Leig Construction Company was the low bidder for short sewer work with a total of 6,560 after items were adjusted for eliminating Meech Street. Other bids included Paul Pere at 6,707.70 and Nels Debel Iripoli at 6,891.26. The council also vetoed a proposed Parker Street Bur ton Avenue filling station, and approved a revised fire ordinance allowing condemnation when a safety committee reports hazard, not just cost depreciation. The council also tabled a sign ordinance and ordered remittance of tornado repair permit fees.
