Propositions Defeated in Black Hawk County Election

Voters rejected all four ballot questions yesterday in Black Hawk County including a constitutional convention and a proposed county home costing up to 25000 dollars. Memorial hall for Civil War veterans also failed by a slim margin. Readings from precincts show small majorities against the proposals and a pattern where home funding failed to gain bond approval. Exhibition of Christmas items continues at James Henderson's Book and Art Shop, 191 Bridge Street.
