Sermon on Pharisees and Publicans Promotes Inner Goodworks
In a fiery sermon the speaker contrasts the Pharisee who boasts of virtue with the humble Publican who pleads for mercy. He rails against church members who act holy while harming others, decrying pure self praise and urging genuine repentance to win souls rather than outward show. A dialogic example mirrors Jesus message of justification for the humble seeker. The talk critiques modern church complacency and calls for sincere moral change, ending with a note on a water color exhibit at James K. Henderson's shop.
