Weekly Grain and Provision Review summary
Chicago traders faced firmer corn prices this week after news of a smaller than expected corn yield. Wheat and oats gained while provisions moved within narrow bounds. Iowa’s yield drop, at least 100 million bushels versus 1923, drew attention, though some argue total corn supply may still match last year. Export demand for wheat remained uneven amid large hog receipts and poorer hog quality.
