Stars and Stars Aligned with Fit in East High Graduation
East High School 1926 graduation speakers urge students to join a noble alliance with the stars and the forces of knowledge. Dr Roadman warns that illiteracy remains a global peril while urging graduates to strive for a public-spirited life and to fight ignorance. The ceremony at First Presbyterian Church featured 124 graduates in cap and gown accompanied by a union choir and special music. A separate note reports the U S Bureau of Chemistry designing new dust-handling equipment for grain elevators to reduce dust-explosion risks.
