West High seniors shine in A Pair of Sixes at auditorium

West High Senior play A Pair of Sixes drew packed crowds as Clifford Hoag and Robert Pollard led a strong cast in a lively amateur staging. Wendell Webb’s lawyer role and Eva Moore’s comic turns drew broad laughter amid brisk pacing and strong direction by Miss DeEtte Gracey.

McFarlane Leads Ladies Golf At Sunnyside Tourney

Mrs. A W McFarlane scored 32 to win Sunnyside Country Club nine hole event for women. Mrs W M Sheldon was runner up with 33 as about 17 contestants contested. Men’s handicap flag tournament at Sunnyside links planned for this afternoon amid expectations of a spirited match. Ladies schedule shifts include Thursday June 7 as Ladies Day due to the high school golf tournament at Sunnyside.
