Iowa to organize new securities department at state level
Des Moines May 28 the secretary of state moves to establish a dedicated securities department to regulate offerings. Ed M Smith authorizes two inspectors and two clerks with salaries set, while Ostrom remains superintendent and Matilda Skovlin chief clerk as the office prepares for registration of all securities prior to sale.
