Steam Pressure Explodes Wood Chips Into Fiber
The Smithsonian National Museum displays a steam based process turning uniform wood chips into millions of fibers under 800 pounds of pressure for a few seconds. The exploded fiber is refined, dried, and pressed to form a strong all wood board with tensile strength up to 5,000 psi. Uses include desks, panels, insulation, and roof components.

Potters, general contractor, says the building is enclosed and roofing is next.
