U S Senate Race Overshadows Run by Congressmen

In Des Moines on May 27 a special report notes high interest in the Republican race for U S Senator, with ten contests evident and many incumbents favored. Republicans challenge in several districts including Banta vs Robinson in the third, Beer man vs Chauden in the fourth, Mellrath vs Ramseyer in the sixth, Hodson vs Dowell in the eighth, and Hindley versus Fhurston in the seventh. Democrats field a full ticket except in the tenth where Dickinson likely faces no opposition. Bell and Ketcham contest the first district, Bradley and Porterfield contest the eighth, Gallagher in Williamsburg heads the second, Ells Wilson and others appear in the third and beyond.
