Waterloo public libraries east and west will shorten hours due to budget deficits and staff reductions. New hours start May 31 with evening hours 7 to 9 p m, closed Sundays and Fridays, and June operations at most stations except Galloway on Tuesdays. August closures apply to all except Linden.
