University President Chosen to Relieve Office After Six Years
Dr. Richard Watson Cooper, president of Upper Iowa University, asked trustees to relieve him from the presidency after six years. A board meeting at the Russell-Lamson hotel prepared for the annual gathering June 4 to 10 in Fayette. Cooper, moving toward retirement from active duties, will remain in Fayette until a successor is chosen and may pursue pastoral and literary opportunities.
