German efforts to arm Irish rebels and plans for a 1917 landing
The document chronology shows German contacts with Sinn Fein figures desde 1916, detailing U-boat bases to ship arms to Ireland. It notes communications through Bernstorff to Beilin and Jagow, Easter 1917 landings foiled, and German money and munitions tied to a broader plan for a two stage revolt with submarines, aiming to deter British forces and aid Casement.
