May Play Postponed Games In First Trip Round

Secretary J. L. Sullivan of the Clinton baseball club received a telegram from President M. Justice stating that postponed games Waterloo may have since the opening of the season may be played off during the first trip around the circuit due to the large number of games. The concession sets aside the rule prohibiting postponed games on the first trip. Peter Matzen announced that Clinton will play an afternoon and morning doubleheader on July 4 to avoid double admission. Martini of Pelaluna, Cal., former Marshalltown and Waterloo outfielder, was in town en route to Muscatine and may join Manager Egan, who plans to release his entire outfield for lack of hitting. Martini said he had not played much this spring but was in good conditioning.
