Marital Woes End in Separation Decree for Falker Case
In a divorce trial before Judge H. B. Boies, the cross-petition was dismissed and Dorothy A. Falker was awarded a separation decree from John G. Falker. The court gave her the home in her name with some alimony, but she must pay her own attorney’s fees. The judge noted the alimony amount would not equal one third of the husband’s property due to lack of joint effort in accumulating it. Judge Bates stated the evidence did not prove infidelity. The judge noted Mrs. Falker was about 16 at marriage and her husband around 40. Boies declared ample testimony supported the wife’s decree.
