Patriotism Fuels Rapid Cleanup After Nashua Tornado

Waterloo workers led a spontaneous relief effort near Nashua clearing wreckage from Pearl Rock and surrounding farms. Some 286 volunteers plus 239 Iowa Dairy Separator staff and 27 Nashua workers dismantled trees and debris to rebuild homes, fences, and sheds while supply lines and a dedicated salvage train ensured rapid deployment and meals for volunteers.
