Man Tells Of Health Turnaround After United Doctors
Victor Mattson of Duluth Minnesota recounts dramatic health improvement after March 17 1911 treatment by the United Doctors at Marsh Place Waterloo offices. He suffered four years with stomach and heart trouble and had been unable to work eighteen months. He praises rapid progress, recommends others seek care, notes free confidential examination and consultation, and that the doctors do not charge unless they can relieve or cure.

Passenger Worried Over His Booze And Typewriter
A Chicago to Traer passenger asked City Ticket Agent Austin to intercept luggage on the westbound Illinois Central train leaving at 8 50. He had left the car for luncheon and not learned the stop time, so the train pulled away with his large clip containing a Hammond typewriter a small unlocked satchel a paper package and bottles with liquor. The agent arranged to detain the baggage at Webster City and the passenger fretted about the fate of the booze and his typewriter. The rest of the piece recounts local notices and ads about moving services and a funeral in Sumner.
