Lloyd M. Schuler left for Fort Madison Monday to begin a life imprisonment for the murder of his brother in law William G. Matusch on March 26, 1921. He had been held in the county jail since May 6 awaiting his mother's visit. his wife later visited but refused to see him for a time.

Masons to Institute DeMolay Council in Waterloo
At a Masonic temple meeting plans were laid to create a Waterloo council of the Order of DeMolay for sons of Free Masons aged 16 to 20. The Cedar Rapids degree team will inaugurate the council on May 21 at 2 PM, with a dinner at 6 PM and officer installation to follow. The Waterloo Shrine club announces a Shrine Party at the Galloway club on May 27 led by F. C. Whittemore and Russell L. DeGon.

Combe and Clase Close Great Meeting in Appleton Wis
Combe and Clase wrapped four weeks of evangelistic preaching in Appleton Wisconsin. The Lawrence Memorial chapel drew larger crowds than the venue could hold as Harold C Clase directed music and the appeal raised 2057 in free will offerings. Gifts went to Mr and Mrs Clase Dr and Mrs J H Mecombe and Mrs Arthur Roberts with a set of Community Silver bouillon spoons presented to the couple on the final night.
