Youthful Waterloo Dancer Wins Notable Placings in Minneapolis
Miss Marjorie Leet, once of Waterloo and now in Minneapolis, earned high praise as an interpretative dancer on the Pacific coast and in war benefit performances. At 14 she is regarded among the leaders, has danced for soldiers at Fort Sheridan, appeared in Miles of Smiles, and created works like The Return of Spring and The Bride of Night. She posed for Miss Minneapolis at a welcome home for the 151st field artillery unit, and was featured in university and fraternity events in Cedar Falls and Minneapolis social circles.
