Lifeline apparatus added to terlo fire dept by Don Green
A new life saving line equipment arrives for the LaFrance fire engine tracter truck at station No 1. Chief Ray Tiller receives the device as a gift from Don Green. A gun fashioned from a shortened army rifle shoots a steel rod to haul a strong cotton rope over roofs for rescue and lowering items from upper floors. The system, tested successfully, offers uses beyond fire escape, including removing furniture or breaking walls as needed.
