Sweetbreads soaked rinsed and simmered with vinegar salt and water then stirred with sautéed mushrooms cream yolk parsley and paprika folded into a buttered dish topped with puff paste and baked until crisp. Man Caught in Raid at Oelwein Pleads Guilty
Ray O Connor pleaded guilty to bootlegging after a raid on a party near the Oelwein creamery. He was placed under $1000 bond to await sentence in district court. Joe Damon was shot by Sheriff Robertson during the raid and remained in hospital with plans to be moved to West Union jail.
