Gas and Electric Plant to Move Site in Waterloo
H B Maynard of Citizens Gas Electric Co refutes reports of changing the gas plant location. The electric plant will move from Elm Street to a three and a half acre site between Sycamore and Lafayette streets, near Utility Street, to allow room for future growth and ensure ample water for condensers. The gas plant will remain, rail connections will be added, and the transfer will occur gradually as new equipment arrives.
