In Cedar Rapids Iowa on May day Mrs Hattie Bliss Center Point and her daughter Mrs Irene Men ley At King faced charges of uttering worthless checks. The court required cash bonds and not checks for bail as they appeared on bond.
In Atkins a woman arrested for writing no fund checks to cover Mrs Menjey’s payments faced the court. She presented her own personal check to cover the earlier checks. Judge George Lightner questioned her funds before the case, and the bid check was returned unpaid as the two women await trial.
