Moonshine Raids Net Liquor Seizures and Arrests
Federal agents with police and a sheriff raided a river area two miles downstream and seized a large amount of mash and a moonshine still. Three men, Jorgen C Thershop, William Bruner, and S L Bishop, were arraigned on liquor nuisance charges with bond set at 50 cents. A fight erupted when Bishop resisted a search at his Bishops Place establishment. Additional mash was found at nearby Bluff Street properties. An injunction proceeding accompanies federal charges as Waterloo district court session approaches.
