Publication Costs On Wild Dogs Set At Deadline
County Auditor FP W Esher announced publication costs will be levied on dog owners who do not purchase licenses before 5 p m on May 15. The printer will receive copy that evening. As of this morning 2191 license tags had been sold and assessors records show 204 more dogs in the county than on Jan 15. An attorney general opinion says if a dog was alive on Jan 1 the fee must be paid even if the dog died later. Wild dogs without tags have no legal right to exist.
