Dickinson Won't Oppose Cummins in Senate Race
Des Moines May 4 An Iowa political note says Congressman J J Dickinson of Algona will not run against Senator Cummins for the United States Senate unless Cummins cannot serve due to health. Dickinson could back Cummins or run if the senior senator steps aside. Dickinson’s Northern Iowa base and farm policy ties boost his prospects, while Clark of Des Moines may enter the June 1926 primary. Cummins remains a seasoned organizer and likely to seek another term.
