Teacher Cleared After Discrediting Child Tales
Des Moines report says Florence Cochran, former Broadhorn school teacher near New Virginia, cleared of charges of telling risque stories and incompetency. State superintendent Agnes Samuelson upheld a Warren county decision reversing dismissal, declaring the charges untrue and entitling Cochran to back pay through the term end. Also notes judge Utterback urging Iowa counties to double flood-relief quotas to reach $180,000 state total.
