Jensen County Case Ends In Favor Of Hansen
After two hours of deliberation the Cedar Falls justice court jury returned a verdict for Hansen in the case Saul v Hansen, with the jury initially split two to four against the defendant. Hansen had leased 200 acres from Elwood Saul west of Cedar Falls for three years with five acres’ privilege, and the plantiff charged fence removal and pasture use. The decision is appealed to the Matric court for September, and Hansen plans to plant his corn crop. Also noted are faculty registrar G S Dick’s Iowa City conference, Dr O J Smith and family moving to Marshalltown to resume practice, deputy food inspector Chris Ottensen seeking Taiko commissioner nomination, and Cedar Falls school commencement preparations with Rev F W Lanhara and Rev Jos W Newton delivering forthcoming addresses.
