New Iowa fish and game law hailed as major advance
The Iowa general assembly enacted a broad fish and game reform effective July 4. It shifts contracts for taking fish to competitive bidding, expanding state revenue and reducing graft risk. The law also extends the squirrel closed season to Dec 31 and limits daily bag. pheasants at three and ducks to one per day.
