Mob paints banker family home in New Hampton
In New Hampton Iowa on May 2 a mob attacked the Miller home after Joseph Miller son-in law of local banker A H Shaffer was classified for dependents. The drunk mob tried to break in and assault family members. sheriff and officials intervened and seven men were arrested. Assassin Gavrilo Princip Dies in Prague Fortress
London May 3 Gavrilo Princip the assassin of Archduke Francis Ferdinand and his wife died yesterday in a Prague fortress of tuberculosis telegraphed by Exchange Telegraph. Princip had been found guilty of the double murder at Sarajevo on June 28 1914 and sentenced to 20 years. Earlier a Serbian typist Gavrino Gabrnovic threw a bomb injuring six. Four conspirators were sentenced to death by hanging one to life and one to 20 years in jail.
