Col Sheldon G Magall long time Buchanan county resident and McAlester Okla native is listed among seven oldest traveling salesmen in the United States. He marks fifty ninth consecutive year on the road starting 1868 with J S Sherman company. He recalls two meals daily, no lunch, and a creed of honesty and kindness. Mason and his wife lived at Independence for decades. after Mrs Mason's death he stayed with a daughter in McAlester. He represents Sioux City Seed in Kansas and Oklahoma territory.
