Topic of study at Ames meeting on farm vocations
Des Moines reports as teachers of vocational agriculture from the midwest converge at Ames for the final program. They study Iowa State College methods, Smith Hughes era training, rehabilitation for injury or inability to work, and vocational guidance to help youths choose life work. A questionnaire shows mixed views on farming among rural and town youths, highlighting the need to balance farming realities with city opportunities.
