Denver Park System Expands Into Colorado Rockies
UNIQUE PARK SYSTEM of Denver shows a proposal by the state legislature to consolidate 19 mountain park areas totaling 6,018 acres in the Colorado Rockies. The areas would link by 100 miles of scenic drives beginning 16 miles west of Denver’s city limits. In 1922 the parks drew about 750,000 automobile visitors.
