Gas Plant Prepares for Coal Strike in Waterloo
Waterloo residents would have gas and electricity for about three and a half to four and a half months if a coal strike occurs. Citizens Gas and Electric says it has stored gasmaking materials, coke, oil, and coal, with 270 600 gallons of gasmaking stock and 1 700 tons of coke plus 3000 tons of steam coal to cover the period.
