Railway builds village in Texas in weeks time
Grover Texas report details a rapid railway settlement as track reached the town on March 3. By March 24 the community boasted about 100 houses and three elevators, with a brick building, bank, and hardware store rising. A two story hotel was moved in and daily life centered at the tracks with boxcar homes, boarding trains, and officials amid a frontier boom.
