No Trace of Gank Rodberg in Iowa Bank Robbery
In Des Moines March 28 the $20 000 Iowa State Bank robbery case closed its preliminary phase as Chief of Detectives James MacDonald reconciled conflicting statements from three bank victims and Martin Bransfield. Bransfield denied entering the bank while the door was locked, but investigators suggested he entered with the holdup men. A woman and two men picked up in Dows were released after police found they were not involved. Detectives will continue to pursue the gunmen as authorities widen patrols and monitor trains and cars in the Des Moines vicinity.
