United Evangelical Conference Opens in La Porte
The twentieth annual Des Moines conference session opened in La Porte City Iowa with Bishop N F Swengel presiding and the Lord's Supper observed. Rev C H Stauffacher was re elected secretary and stationing elders were assigned to Cedar Rapids and Des Moines districts.

Man’s nightmare triggers alert to dying call in Omaha
In Omaha on March 28 a Iowa City man Frank Boyles slept through a hoax call that he was dying after a tornado. Police dispatched six officers and medics to 2519 Chicago Street but found no crisis as Boyles awakened and denied making the call. Roomers testified he directed the police to notify his father in Iowa City of his death.
