Assembly Session Limited To One In Four Years Plan
Des Moines reports a bill by Senator J O Shafi to limit Iowa legislature to one session every four years. The proposal faces constitutional hurdles and doubtful odds this session. Also discussed are a gas tax bill split between primary and secondary roads and measures tied to the Pittsburgh steel pricing issue. Senate support shows pro highway momentum, while anti highway groups retreat.
