Ben Hata Initiation Set for April Celebration
On Wednesday April 6 the Tribe of Ben Hur will initiate a class of more than 100 candidates in a celebration with tribes from surrounding territory. Steele of Crawfordsville will arrange elaborate ceremonials with special scenery and costumes. A 78 member Cedar Rapids delegation and a 16 person degree team will travel by car to the Knights of Pythias hall for a 300 seat banquet. Lee McCarty will give the opening address and present Steele. The day before, April 5, Cedar Rapids Aldebarian tribe will confer the Melters degree at a separate Ben Hur gathering.
