Iowa experts predict slower 1928 farming year
C L Holmes and L G Allbaugh of Iowa State College report in a new bulletin that pork production will be restrained, beef supplies fall, and prices stay strong for marketable beef. Dairying remains robust while oats and corn have weak outlooks. The study cites 1927 declines in grass cash receipts and farm income, with shifts toward feed crops and renewed activity in steel and autos as signs for 1928.
