Scott County to Vote on Highway Bonds in Iowa
Davenport Iowa March 1 action to authorize a 1250000 bond issue with a 3 mill tax levy to pave 30 miles of Scott county highways this year was taken up by the county board of supervisors. April 12 set for a special election on the bond issue with the proposition to be put to voters. Board heard bond house attorneys on the need for the levy to insure retirement. state highway commission urged levy to guard against retirement risk.
