Iowa appoints Max Meyer to state board of control
Des Moines reports Gov N Hy Kendal sent the nomination of Mrs. Max Meyer of Iowa City to the Senate for confirmation as a member of the state board of control for a term starting July 1. The Senate met in executive session to consider the appointment as a related reform bill, the Hold gel measure, awaits committee action. The governor did not wait for Senate approval on the bill. The four member board would include a no. The measure was referred February 5 and delayed by other business.
