Sunday School Lesson on Kings and Ahab’s Faith
The lesson warns that relying on ungodly powers harms God’s witness and may embolden the ungodly. It recalls Asa’s rebuke by Hanani for seeking Syria, and the surprising mercy shown to Ahab as God proves His strength for His name’s sake. It notes drunkenness and unbelief as hindrances to salvation and urges trust in the Lord, not in wine or worldly alliances.
