Police hunt man in Gary killings of two children
Chicago dispatch reports Walter Scholl sought dead or alive for the slaying of his eight year old daughter Vivian and her younger brother Donald in an abandoned Gary Indiana house. Police forced entry after Scholl’s second wife urged action. Evidence included ether-soaked towels and a foul odor from suspected poisons. The couple had recently separated and Scholl had a complex history including parole and alleged kidnapping links to Pittsburgh and St Louis.
