R. R. Commission Denies Two Motor Truck Requests
The Iowa state board of railroad commissioners refused A J Cass of Monticello authority to operate as a motor carrier between Monticello and Cedar Rapids and denied M E Buckner of Anamosa a certificate to run a freight line between Cascade and Cedar Rapids. The board noted existing rail and motor carrier service so the new lines would not promote public convenience or be a necessity. L B Stanley, previously operating a Cedar Rapids milk route, was granted a certificate to operate as a motor carrier between Cedar Rapids and Whittier.
