County eyes road contract for 1928 project
Bids due 2 p.m. March 26 for grading six miles of county highway from three miles north of Waterloo on primary No 59 to the Dewar Dunkerton gravel road. Work on Gedar Falls Dunkerton road in Mt. Vernon and Bennington townships to begin a new 1928 program. Also notes gravel surfacing plans for Gilbertville Jubilee and Eagle Center roads if feasible. Real estate transfers listed follow.

Decker Sewage Treated in Company's Own Plant
The Courier correcting a February story states that Decker Packing discharges no waste into the city sewer. Five hundred thousand gallons daily go directly to the company's disposal plant, where after treatment the effluent is released into Lime Creek. The company agreed at a governor's hearing to remodel and enlarge its sewage facility.
